01 May World Whisky Day 2017 events at Tokyo Bird & Osaka Trading Co.

World Whisky Day is on Saturday, 20 May and this year, we get to celebrate it at not one but two venues! Celebrated globally, World Whisky Day invites everyone to try a dram and celebrate whiskies of all types. It’s about making whisky fun, enjoyable and inclusive, meaning whisky from anywhere in the world, enjoyed however you prefer it (neat, ice, water, mixer, cocktail).

We’ve got events for a whole week around the big day from 17-24 May so there’s something for everyone – check it out below.

WORLD WHISKY COCKTAILS – Wednesday, 17 – 24 May at Tokyo Bird & Osaka Trading Co.
Start your World Whisky Day celebrations with an exclusive one-week-only cocktail list featuring world whiskies – available at both venues. Choose from classic cocktails with a twist and house cocktails starring whiskies from Japan, Scotland, Australia, Ireland and the US.

WORLD WHISKY DAY TASTING FLIGHTS – Saturday 20 May at Tokyo Bird
We’re kicking off from 1pm on World Whisky Day with whisky tasting flights and a special whisky-inspired food menu ALL DAY LONG! You’ll have a choice of five whisky flights, covering world or Japanese whiskies, to taste and celebrate the water of life! We’ve been a full house on this day the last two years running, so book your tickets now!

WORLD WHISKY DINNER – Tuesday 23 May at Osaka Trading Co.
We’re celebrating all types of whisky (and whiskey! and bourbon!) with our World Whisky Dinner at Osaka Trading Co. We’ve selected five whiskies from Japan, Scotland, Australia, Ireland and the US to which head chef Shota Sato has matched five courses of his delicious modern Japanese cuisine.

With a whisky highball and appetiser on arrival, food and whisky lovers can indulge together and celebrate the water of life with us!
