For a lot of Japanese people, Christmas means KFC – that’s right, Kentucky Fried Chicken! Apparently a marketing campaign from the 1970s cemented the Colonel as a Christmas fixture in Japan (he kinda looks related to Santa, no?) with fried chicken taking place of turkey for the Christmas eve feast with family.
So we’re celebrating Christmas in July at Tokyo Bird this year with none other than: FRIED CHICKEN!
Come in on Monday, 25 July from 5pm for four pieces of our house fried chicken wings with a 440ml Asahi OR a Suntory Kakubin whisky highball OR a Wakashika Bambi cup sake for just $20 per person! Book now for Christmas in July at Tokyo Bird!
クリスマスはケンタッキー! (read: kurisumasu wa kentakki!)
